Recognizes a protein of 70 kDa, which is identified as CD86. CD86 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface receptors. This MAb is specific to lambda light chain of immunoglobulin and shows no cross-reaction with lambda light chain or any of the five heavy chains. However, with the occurrence of multiple myeloma or other B-cell malignancies this ratio is disturbed.
